Prospectors' Hall of Fame

The purpose of the Prospectors' Hall of Fame is to pay tribute to prospectors who struggled against seemingly impossible odds, suffered undue hardship, and incurred incredible risk in their search for minerals in the Yukon. This special group of individuals, though relatively small in numbers, has contributed tremendously to the Yukon.

Established in 1988, 172 candidates were inducted into the "Hall of Fame" (names in the table following). Some of the inductees were prospecting in the Yukon years before the discovery of Klondike gold.
